STUDENT STATUS
All single full-time students, whether male or female, are required to live in the campus. Exceptions shall be approved by the Admissions Committee.
A. Residential Full-Time (RFT) student:
1. Takes at least 12-quarter units per quarter
2. Enrolls in one-quarter unit of field education per quarter
3. Stays in the dormitory from Sunday evening to Friday after lunch
4. Participates in all BSOP activities.
a. Official activities:
Orientation and retreat, usually held at the beginning of the first quarter; Spiritual Emphasis Day, Monthly Prayer Day - incorporated in the chapel, Convocation Day, BSOP Family Christmas Celebration and Party, BSOP Sundays, Graduation Rehearsal, Commencement Exercises, Special Occasions such as funeral services or as the case may be.
b. Regular activities:
Physical Exercise, Choir Practice, Cleaning, Chapel (4 times a week), Care and Share Group.
B. Non-Residential Full-Time
A non-residential (NR-FT or commuting full time) student of BSOP is one who takes more than 9-quarter units. A non-residential full-time student must attend all regular BSOP activities on the day he/she has classes and may stay overnight in the dormitory with a maximum of 2 nights (Monday-Thursday nights) only. When a NR-FT wishes to stay more than 2 nights on a regular basis, he/she is encouraged to change status to residential full time.
C. Non-Residential Part-Time
A non-residential part-time (NR-PT) student of BSOP is one who takes 9 quarter units or less. A non-residential part-time student must attend all required regular activities on the half day he/she is taking classes. A NR-PT needs the approval of the Seminary Chaplain when he/she needs to stay overnight in the dormitory.
