ANTHROPOLOGY FOR EVERYDAY WITNESS

March 16 – 21, 2026

This course will introduce PhD students to the field of cultural and missiological anthropology to help them understand the impact of culture on themselves, on those with whom they interact and serve, and even on how we read and interpret the Bible. The goal of the course is to develop skills and perspectives for more effective cross- cultural ministry in everyday life. The primary focus of the course is on applying anthropological insights to ministry in diverse cultural settings. Special attention will be given to the Incarnation as a model for ministry, the fundamentals of culture, cross-cultural communication, contextualization, and worldview differences.
