Admission Requirements
A. Personal Qualifications — The applicant must:
- Show evidence of sound doctrinal beliefs, genuine Christians character, and be in good physical health.
- Be clear of God’s calling to full-time ministry or to a life of dedicated service through one’s vocation or profession.
B. Course Qualifications:
- Master of Divinity (M.Div): Possession of a bachelor’s degree with a grade point average of at least 2.0 (80-84). Any exception to these requirements must be approved by the Academic Office.
- Master of Divinity in Christian Education (M.Div CE): Possession of a bachelor’s degree with a grade point average of at least 2.0 (80-84), and at least 2 years of full time teaching experience in a formal Christian school or Sunday School of a local church.
- Diploma in Christian Ministry (DCM): Possession of a high school diploma with a grade point average of at least 2.50 (73-75). Any exception to these requirements must be approved by the Academic Office.
C. Required Documents — The applicant must submit the following documents for review by the Admission Committee:
- Completed application form with recent 2×2 size colored photo attached
- Official transcripts of college/bachelor’s degree (preferably original copy)
- Two (2) completed recommendation forms from church pastor (school principal for M.Div CE applicants) and elder/deacon, or former employer
- Satisfactory performance in Bible knowledge, Chinese/English Proficiency Examinations (M.Div CE applicants take only the English Exam).
D. In addition to the above, the foreign student applicant must submit the following documents:
- Original copy of passport (at least 1-1/2 year validity)
- Twenty-four (24) copies of 2×2 recent colored photo (in decent attire with plain white background/no eyeglasses)
- Scholastic Records of the highest educational attainment duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post located in the student’s country of origin or legal residence.
- Police Clearance Certificate issued by the National Police Authorities in the student’s country of origin or residence and duly authenticated by the Philippines Foreign Service Post located in the student’s country of origin or legal residence.
- Medical Report within the last six months of CBC, Hepa Profile (HBsAG, Anti-HBs, Anti-HbclgM), Chest X-ray and urinalysis.
E. Satisfactory interview with the Admissions Committee
Admission Procedures
- Download On Campus Downloadable forms from this website or visit the Office of the Registrar.
- Fill in the forms and submit all requirements to the Office of the Registrar two weeks before the beginning of the quarter of intended enrollment.
- Come on time for the interview and take all required proficiency exams.
- Wait for notification of acceptance.

DEGREE PROGRAMS (Credit)
The Master of Arts, Graduate Diploma, and Certificate in Christian Ministry programs are designed to prepare pastors, lay ministers, and church volunteers for Christian service by equipping them in the areas of knowledge (head), character (heart), and skills (hands).
The Online classes are suitable for students who are not able to attend classes in the campus.
The training is done in partnership with local church pastors/leaders through mentoring and field supervision.
Application Procedures
- Completed application form
- Transcript of Record of the highest degree attained
- Two completed recommendation forms
- Signed “Mentor’s Agreement Form”
- Sample essay
- Signed “Agreement to Statement of Faith”
- Application fee (non-refundable): PhP150 (for Philippine residents) or a net of $25 (for non-Philippine residents)
* All applications will be reviewed by the Online Admission Committee. All applicants will be given a psychological exam prior to the committee review.
NON-DEGREE PROGRAM (Audit)
BSOP is committed to training pastors, lay ministers, and church volunteers for Christian service by equipping them in the areas of knowledge (head), character (heart), and skills (hands), even to those who are not interested in pursuing a degree but simply wanted to take some classes for personal growth.
The Online classes are suitable for students who are not able to attend classes in the campus.
Application Procedures
- Completed application form
- Two (2) completed recommendation forms
- Signed “Agreement to Statement of Faith”
- Application fee (non-refundable): PhP150 (for Philippine residents) or a net of $25 (for non-Philippine residents)
* All applications will be reviewed by the Online Admission Committee. All applicants will be given a psychological exam prior to the committee review.
Admission and Continuation in the Program
- All newly admitted students are under probation for one year
- Advance standing may be credited after the probation period to students with extensive ministry experience or previous theological education
- Applicants with Bachelor of Theology may only be required 30 units of course work
- Credit transfer may be given to those who took classes from an ATA accredited institution
- For every online class, the student is expected to spend about 10 hours per week in doing class related work.

Inform us about your payment by emailing your scanned deposit slip (for peso deposits) or wire transfer receipt (for dollar transfers) to our accounts officer, Pr. Lilian Young (email address: lyoung@bsop.edu.ph), so she can issue your receipt, and to our registrar (registrar@bsop.edu.ph) so she can officially sign you up for those classes. Make sure to email them both.

Wait for a confirmation from the registrar that you are signed up for a class, and wait for your professor to contact you by email to give you the class code so you can log in to the online classroom.
