• Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Shao attended the Theological Education Forum on Institutional Development spon-sored by the Overseas Council International in Hong Kong from April 10 to 15, 2011.
  • Dr. Joseph Shao gave a public lecture on “Old Testament Theological Critique of Postmodern Theology” at the Asia-Pacific Theological Consultation on Faith in Jakarta, Indonesia from April 23 to 26, 2011. He lectured on the Old Testament Theology for two weeks, from April 27 to May 7, at the Sabah Theological Seminary in Malaysia. He also handled three sessions on the Book of Nehemiah, from May 10 to 12, among 80 Taiwanese pastors who met at the Cen-tury Park Hotel in Manila under the auspices of the Scripture Union in Taiwan.
  • Dr. Jane Chuaunsu trained Sunday School teachers at the Cagayan Gospel Church from April 28 to May 1, 2011.
  • Dr. Rosa Shao spoke at the Haggai Institute Philippines on “The Christian Leader and His Family” on May 28. She recently published a booklet – Called to be a Camp Counselor – a timely guide for counselors serving in local church conferences and retreats.
  • Serving as the Chief Counselor, Dr. Rosa Shao, along with Professors Jane Chuaunsu, Jean Uayan, Philip and Joyce Co, and many students and alumni ministered to about 410 participants at the FCCF 64th Na-tionwide Youth Summer Conference which was held at the BE Resort in Mactan, Cebu from May 22 to 26, 2011. A gathering of BSOP alumni was also held at the same venue on May 24, 2011. Rev. Anthony Hao gave a special “Altar Call” during a service featuring BSOP on May 25, 2011.
  • Professors Philip and Joyce Co and several students conducted BSOP Sunday at the United Evangelical Church of Baguio in Baguio City on April 3, 2011. Joyce was speaker at the UECP Family Camp (April 20-23), UECP Children’s Worship and Mother’s Day (SSP Women’s Group) all on May 8, 2011. Philip spoke during the Mother’s Day Worship Service at JEC (May 8) and SSP (May 22). Both of them also conducted BSOP Sunday at Dagupan Chinese Baptist Church on May 15, 2011.
  • Professors Jay and Amor Hallowell, Philip and Joyce Co, Michael Malessa, Jean Uayan and Jane Chuaunsu attended the Gate Seminar focusing on “Leadership in Transformation Education.” It was held at the Development Academy of the Philippines in Tagaytay City from April 14 to 16, 2011.
  • Dr. Jay Hallowell and his wife Prof. Amor went on furlough on May 4, 2011. They will return next year to continue serving at BSOP as missionary-teachers with the blessings of Philippine OMF leadership.
  • Alumnus Daniel Wong was ordained at The Living Christian Church during its 22nd anniversary on March 20, 2011, with Dr. Joseph Shao as the Coordinator of the Ordaining Committee and Rev. Wilson Go Kiao as one of its members. Dr. Rosa Shao and Prof. Nenita Lee also attended the occasion.
  • James Allen Ching Que, graduate of BS in Information Technology and a member of the United Evangelical Church of the Philippines, has become our fulltime IT personnel.
