Words from the President

I was humbled and honored to be appointed by the board to serve as president of BSOP. My immediate goal is to get to know the faculty, staff, and board members of BSOP. I also hope to visit Filipino-Chinese churches, get to know their needs, and seek to know how BSOP can help meet their needs. My desire is to also hear from Fil-Chi pastors on what they think should be the profile of a BSOP graduate. I hope that as a result, we at BSOP can do some soul searching as to how we can best shape or reshape our programs so as to meet the needs of the Fil-Chi churches and beyond.

For the next 5 to 10 years, my dream for BSOP is that we will produce graduates who are Christ-centered and Christ-like with core values of Compassion, Humility, Responsiveness to God’s call, Intimacy in walking with God, Servant-Leadership, and Teachability. I also hope that BSOP will produce graduates who will reach out to the broader Fil-Chi communities, specifically to Mainland Chinese living in Philippines, the local Fil-Chi non-believers, and the Filipino employees who serve the Fil-Chi families and business owners.
